Post subject: Varicose Veins
I am only 22 and Whilst I was pregnant, I developed a raised vein in 1 one leg. Since having my son 5months ago, the vein has become worse.
I have been doctors and seen a specialist and have been told it needs to be removed, although NHS dont do it so id have to go private!!!
Has anyone else developed varicose veins through pregnancy??? has any one had them stripped out???

ch4rli I have a raised one just starting to come up now and it's freaking me out cos it looks well ugly!! Very Happy I know a friend who has had them stripped out and said it was pretty uncomfortable and sore but she wouldn't wear skirts when she had the veins cos she was so paranoid and they made it really sore for her to stand and work before she had them taken out. She had a few though so I think I would wait til a collection before i went through with an op espesh if i had to pay for it too! xxxx
