soft markers found on scan

Post subject: soft markers found on scan hiya, im new to this site, ive got 6 wonderful girls, and ive just found out that im having a boy, we are so delighted, but..... on my 20 week scan, they found a cyst on his brain, also my old age of 38 went against me too, didnt feel old till I went for this scan,lol, Can anyone advise, bit worried, but couldnt risk amnio, for fear of losing him, thanx all, clare x.

Post subject: Hiya we had soft markers from the nuchal scan and had to have a detailed scan at 20 wks (now 27wks) due to higher risk of Downs. We also decided to not go ahead with amnio or CVS for the same reason as we had been trying for 3 years and already lost a baby. It is really difficult but after the scan we were told that everything looks good but no gtee until after baby is born. We are now just enjoying the pregnency and cant wait for him to come along. I know this is diffirent to your situation but keep positive and I hope all ends up being well for your baby. Good Luck XXXX
