Post subject: Planning My wife and I have been planning for the birth of our first child. We have found some useful information on http://www.babyfy.com, but have also been searching for other sites that could give us some advice. Thankyou.

Post subject: Hi dave!
congrats on the baby and everything I'm a list freak myself, so I found http://www.mamasandpapas.co.uk/product_advice/essentials_guides.php really useful - the 'essential guides' section (although there is a bit of product placement in there) is really handy for planning. The other good place is forums - like here. If there's anything specific you're worried about, of missing in your planned purchses etc, its always worth asking here as someone is bound to be able to point you at a bargain or two! Would also recommend joining every parenting, pregnancy and new mum scheme in all the retailers - Boots, ASDA, Tesco etc etc - you get quite a decent amount of freebies, including a little essentials list-maker book in the bounty pack from Boots! Hope that helps Anna
