I was a single parent from when my kids were 3yrs and about 7 months old, was single for 6 years, geez didn`t realise it was that long  saw a few blokes inbetween to get my needs seen to but nothing serious, when single you do feel lonely at times but you realise that men aren`t the be all and end all like they want you to think 
It ws harder for me to meet blokes simply because even if I managed to track down a babysitter I had no one to go out with because all my friends vanished
My main advice would be to scout around for clubs and things, whether it be mum and babygroups, baby swim sessions, main thing is to keep yourself out in the open world rather than shutting yourself away For those on income support you can usually get free courses and creche places at local colleges, even if its just a small course for a couple of hours a week doing pottery or something daft it gets you out and about  _________________  Posted: Thu Feb 12, 2009 3:55 pm

i was a single mum throughout most of my pregnancy, and i struggled. i luckily met my partner and we have been together since i was 7 1/2 months pregnant- and am so glad. i found some moments so frustrating and tough that i couldnt have done it with out him. i sometimes feel i am on my own however............. so i really admire you all as i was facing the same tough time as you all! _________________

another single here !! Quite enjoy being single now. Dont get me wrong, its been HARD !!! But now my girlie is 13 months its me and her against the world. Lol !!! Do miss a bit of romance in my life tho  but certainly dont miss the stress that comes with it !!

Post subject: im a single mum of a 10yr old girl, 6 year old girl & a 18mth boy.all different fathers.i was with the 1st 1 for 2years,2nd 1 for 3 years,last 1 was a drunken 1nite stand.i get no help off any of them,the 1st 2 hav weekly vists with their paternal grandparents.no finacial help either
.it is so hard,but so rewarding at the same time.you manage you just get on with it.i have to go without so many times but it doesnt matter as my children have everything they need.roll on middle of may when i can find a job and provide properly for them bein a mum is the greatest job ever. if you have a bad day have a look at ur child sleeping it makes it all worthwhile.. _________________ <a><img></a> <a><img></a> <a><img></a>
