Hi Sam,
We're on our 3rd week of weaning. I only did the baby rice for a couple of days, it was going down so well that i thought i would try the baby breakfast cereals. Ariana doesn't seem to mind the Sunrise Banana breakfast.
We now have vegetables for lunch, i must confess that i have been lazy and have been using jars and pouches. I didn't want to make up a big batch and her not like it. She has enjoyed everything i have given her so far.
This week i started giving her a third meal at tea time, i've started introducing fruit. She loves this. I've also started giving her a fromage frais at lunch time after her veggie dish.
Next week i'll start introducing meat dishes and i'll also increase the amount of food at each meal.
I found it really confusing as to how much i should be giving her. Hopefully i've been doing it OK. We see the HV next week so i'll soon find out.

HIya,
I started trying Chloe with food on sat but have to say not going well!!!
Tried banana and strawberry porridge and today also banana and kiwi!!!
But she wont even open mouth for the spoon - if I do manage to get some in it just gets pushed back out with tongue or through her blowing a raspberry - nice!!!
Any suggestions???

lewis isn't 6 months for a few days yet...i can't believe it's gone SO fast!!
for me the best bit is the rolling....my daughter has special needs so didn't roll til near enough 11months, so seeing him doing stuff on target is amazing!
i started lewis on baby rice for about 3days, he wasn't impressed and kept trying to steal his big sister's dinners
we're onto feeding 2 times a day, he's been having some banana porridge at lunch and some fruit in the evening...i need to mix it about a bit and get a third meal in but he's only just started and has a milk allergy so i wanna take it slow _________________

I started weaning at 19 weeks and he took to it really well. He's on 3 meals a day and on lumpier food instead of pureed now.
There is only a couple of fruits that he doesnt like but he seems to really enjoy his food.
He's still bf and taking a lot of milk after feeds so have introduced puddings now.
Just bought some rusks, ready brek, weetabix and baby pasta and yoghurts today to try soon.
