Post subject: SMP HELP!
I started a 1 year contract with my employer in February 2008. If I get pregnant before this contract ends am I still entitled to SMP or will I only be entitled to MA?

Help would be much appreciated!

Confused

I was doing Temp work for a company and fell pregnant 1month after working for them, I left 2months later and didnt work up till now. I was entitled to 112.75 a week maternity Pay throught the government which I found out about by goin to my local job centre!
If u have previously worked u should be entitled to something!
xx

Thanks for your help. I had a feeling it was the case but just needed to check. Not even pregnant yet!

smp is now 117.00 per week (and sommin pence) if you have worked for your employer for 26 weeks you are entitled to smp or thier company maternity. if under 26 weeks you'll still get the 117.00 per week just through the job centre instead of from your employer.

i suggest those of you who are temps or are unsure to check your the terms and conditions of your contract. specially temps.
