Post subject: pregnant after 6 years!
Hello,

I'm 39 & pregnant for the first time after 6 years of attempts. Apparently I'm in week 8. Had been feeling pretty grotty all week and like my breasts are going to burst. My husband persuaded me to take a test. We had virtually given up all hope! Needless to say - we are over the moon, but I am terrified! I want to keep the news to ourselves for a bit, but I'm not sure my husband can last - far too excited!

Thought this forum would be a happy medium.
Thanks for reading.

hiya,
jus wanted to say congratulations on your news, and good luck, feelin terrified for the 1st few wks is totally normal, i was worried rite the way throught my pregnancy, rite up until the birth, me and my husband had been tryin for 18 months i expected it to happen rite away as im only 21 and hes 27, but it didn't and we had given up hope as the docs were sendin us for tests, jus as that happened though i became pregnant, i really do believe it happens when you least expect it, my daughter is now 1 month old and shes the best thing in the world, i really do wish you the best of luck,

Thanks to both of you for your kind words. Its going to be a long trip and I'm sure there'll come a time when I will just be able to enjoy the pregnancy - at least I hope so.

Keep me posted cheryljane, seems we'll be going through this together.

Hope all goes well for you!
