Post subject: 6 week review
Hi can anybody please help me out with a query i have.
My daughter was born 4 weeks premature.
I took her to the health visitor, at 4 weeks old , and she informed me that my daughters 6 week check, would now be a 10 week check as she was 4 weeks premature...

This doesn't seem right to me ,as i thought a 6 week check up was from the day my daughter was born and not the day she was supposed to be born. any advise would be greatly appreciated. as im now thinking my health visitor has got it wrong ...

hi my twins were 7 weeks premature and they had their 6 week check at 6 wks, i would query it with the gp

james was 4 weeks early and he had his at 6 weeks too

Gaby was 6 weeks early and she had her six week check when she was 12 weeks. I had to go when she was 6 weeks for my check up though!

Chloe was born 5 weeks early, she had her 6 weeks check when she was six weeks old. I was told this was because they go by her actual age rather than the age she should be

maybe it depends on individual baby? There is no way Gaby would have 'passed' all the milestone checks at the six week check if she had been given it at actual age?! But getting it at corrected age she ticked all the boxes no problem.

depends how ur hv works and ur baby. georgias always had her checks a month late as shes a bit behind so is pointless doin the checks on time.
