Hi everyone, this is my first pregnancy that has gotten this far (28 wks) and I'm just starting to buy things (left it until now just incase) and am looking at baby sterilisers and bottles. What a mind field, do you go for electric, steam or cold water and what is the best make Tommy tippee, boots, avent etc (someone told me tommy tippee coz the teats are the best???? What has everyone else used or what are you all going to buy. Sorry its a bit boring but just dont know what to get xxxxx

I'm all over the place with sterilisers too. My wife is planning on trying to breastfeed, but will also need to express if I'm looking after the baby on my own. That will probably be relatively infrequent though if she has no problems breastfeeding, so what's best for infrequent use? I'm wondering if cold water will be since they items be left in the solution for up to 24 hours and ready to use straight out of the solution... but then would a microwave one be better to "zap" equipment as and when is necessary? Less capacity but that will be less of an issue since we wouldn't be using many bottles.

Very confusing!

Hi

I purchased a Tommee Tippee steriliser, as already had a Tommee Tipee bottle for when i was expressing & also was a bargain at 9.99 in TKMaxx!! Very Happy

The Tommee Tippee Steriliser I purchased could be used as a cold steriliser or used in microwave as steam steriliser
