Post subject: Bottle feeding
Hi,
My five month old son is refusing to accept a bottle. I am breast feeding him and he is having three meals a day, but will not tolerate a bottle at all. I have expressed my milk and he wont entertain it in a bottle. I have to go back to work in a month and I am so worried that he will go without and fret when I am at work.

Can anyone offer me any advice?

Hi Grainne,

Have you tried getting someone else to feed your son by bottle. Sometimes babies don't like to take bottles from their Mum to start off with but are happy to bottle feed with someone else and then get used to it with Mum too - worth a try.
