Post subject: when does a baby really start smiling
my l2 week old boy still is not smiling and i am getting worried, he was born a month early does that makes a difference and he weighs now at 9lbs.

HI arlie,

How's your son getting on - are you enjoying gorgeous smiles yet?

All babies are different in terms of development - some start smiling really soon after they're born (although this is often wind related Wink ) while others don't start smiling until about 3 months.
