Rash On Back

Post subject: Rash On Back Hi,
The last couple of days while ive been in the bath with my daughter, i have noticed a small rash above her bum on her back. Today i noticed it had spread up2 her shoulders. The spots r a pale red colour and are not raised at all. As she is only 8 months she cant tell me whether they are itchy or not. I havent looked yet to see if they are still there a few hours after a bath ( i am thinking a heat rash or prickly heat) Any thoughts guys? Posted: Tue Jun 07, 2011 7:24 pm
Post subject: could be a few things - chicken pox, scabies, heat rash. keep an eye on it, do the glass test (just in case) and check her temperature. If she is listless or screaming mental and you are worried, ring NHS direct hun. It's never worth taking chances

Post subject: i live in Cyprus and it sounds similar to my little girls heat rash. Hers is always worse after a bath. I would suggest a cool flannel on the area. I don't think an antihistamine will help in any way if it is a heat rash.
