Post subject: a few questions on life after giving birth Hi all hope your well,
So my first question is how long did you bleed for? Second, How long did your 2nd degree tears take to heal, mine are inside and outside but not perenium? Third, how long before you had sex, especially those of you who tore? Thanks for any replies

Post subject: For about 4 weeks I think but then I got af. I don't think I had sex until Jamie was about 9 or 10 weeks although that had as much to do with the fact he just never slept as much as anything else.

Post subject: Hi hun , Congrats on the birth of your LO
With my first i bled for around 4-5 weeks  i was in agony for about a week after too cos i tore badly. With my 2nd i had an episiotomy and the recovery was so much better and quicker  I only bled for 2 days  when i asked the mws about it they said i was lucky.
Everyone is different tho, Are you still bleeding heavily? I waited for just over 5 weeks before having sex and at that my hubby had to be gentle. I was prob being over cautious tho as i was fine. Post subject: thanks for the replies so far,
charlene no the bleeding is light now, it has stopped for a few hours a few times but its still a pinky colour. With the sex my OH is getting pretty fustrated lol and its only been 2 and a half weeks, im not sure either of us can wait another 2 and a half weeks. The tears on the outside are just about healed We did try the other day but it was definatly too early  xxx_________________

Post subject: I bled for 3 weeks, but the last week was quite light. I had an episiotomy (sp) but the stitches were internal, and i was told i could have sex after 2 weeks, we did id after i stopped bleeding so around 3-4 weeks.
but i still got sore if it was too rough, or i wasnt lubricated enough (tmi) or we had it too often _________________

Post subject: after Isaac (2nd degree tear and stitched) I bled about 5 weeks, then after Milly (2nd degree but no stitching this time) only bled for 3 weeks. Healing took a while, salt baths helped a lot
