Post subject: Molluscum Has anyones Lo had/got it?
I took my dd to dr coz she has it. Ive no idea where she picked it up from as she doesnt go to nursery (dr said thats where they tend to pick it up) Just wondering how long it lasted if your have had it. Ive looked on line and its not very helpfull it just says few months to years!! 
Luckly its on her chest so its not visible and its covered up to stop risk of spreading it to others. My dd has had it for a few months now. its not got any worse or any better. Dont know what to do to treat it as dr didnt do anything. _________________

Post subject: Molluscum Hi - both my youngest and eldest has suffered with molluscum - my eldest's cleared up on its own after about 2-3 months - however I took my youngest to a dermatologist as it was showing no signs of clearing up - he recommended something called poxiderm and thankfully this is doing the trick!

Post subject: Is this the same as Mollusculum contagiosum?
Like warts/chicken pox type spots?? If so, my eldest son was diagnosed with this in March. They have continued to be quite angry and even bleed at times. Ive taken him back to the dr 4 times and last week he FINALLY gave him some cream which has virtually cleared them all up!! Now Liam is much happier and so am I because we told it could take 18 months to fully clear! Post subject: My GD has this , it first appeared just after she had chicken pox and it's part of the pox family, hers has started to spread after she scratched it but I had a look online and there are treatments that are effective for some children , my DD's GP was useless and said it will go on it's own
 some people say cider vinegar on cotton wool covered with a dressing dries them up and makes them less itchy  but it might be worth going back to the GP to see if they can suggest anything for it xx
