Post subject: I always think kids at school try and find a nickname somehow. My surname is Archibald so we know if we have a boy it'll always end up being called Archie or Baldy at school|!!

Post subject: my husband has a family name as his first name and he got the mickey taken out of him really badly at school, he uses his middle name as his first name but it causes so many problems now with identity like passport, driving licence mortgages etc as his legal name is the name on the birth certificate, you have to have the name that is on the birth certificate as the name on the passport, he is going to change his name by deed poll.
just thought id warn you for future problems if you use a different name everyday to his actuall name on the birth certificate, also when enrolling children at school it has to be the legal name im afraid good luck with everything Posted: Thu Apr 17, 2008 11:03 am

thought you were maybe a fiona!! lol!!! my dad was named after his dad, so everyone called my dad his second name instead of his first to save confusion, didnt know baby had to be inrolled using legal name!! thats given me loads to think about!!! hmmmm,............... kimberley xo _________________
