Post subject: ovulation after nursing
I have recently stopped feeding my 1st baby now she is 10 months and wondered if anyone had any tips for getting ovulation started again?

Hi, Sorry I didn't realise ovulation stopped when you've been breast feeding. Embarassed

yep - breast feeding releases hormones that supress ovualtion.

I stopped bf Sophie @ 6months. 6 wks later I had my AF & fell PG. So I ov'd in my 1st AF. It can take a while for our bodies to get back into a routine of any sort.
Before I fell PG with Sophie, my AF was irregular, very heavy, very long & wasn't ov'ing. Put on Clomid to conceive. But as I said, conceived Olivia naturally. Since I stopped bf Olivia, my AF came 4wks after & just had another AF so very regular ATM.
