IVF

Post subject: IVF Hi folks im new to this site, my fiance and i have been trying to get pregnant for the past 2 years and we were recently told he had a low sperm count, our doctors have said that we will prob have to try IVF, im so nervous about this whole situation, i always imagined that when i was ready to have a baby it would just happen. Has anyone been through IVF if so can you advise me about it. Thanks

Post subject: Hi im just about to start my third ivf in september me and Dh had been trying for a baby for about four years i have problems with my tubes thats why we were told to do it, I was really worried about doing it when i did my first one but now i just cant wait to get on with it.

Post subject: Awww im sorry to hear it hasn't worked yet, hopefull this time you'll be sucessuful.
Im worried about the whole process, we haven't been to talk to anyone yet we are waiting on our appointment to see a specialist. But can i just ask you this, if its to personal then im sorry. Post subject: I dont mind you asking, you do have to have internal scans alot but its just something you get use to, it does sting when you have to have the injections but some people dont mind it at all but when you think about what the end result could be it is worth every bit of it.
The first time i had my eggs taken out it did hurt abit but the second time i was fine i think it was because the second time i was more relaxed because i knew what was going to happen to me _________________ Posted: Tue Aug 26, 2008 1:49 pm
Post subject: Hi the same thing happened to me, we where told oh had low sperm motility and im now 7 weeks pg, they said we where looking at ivf. but he started taking vitumins and cut down on drinking and smoking and when he got his results back again they had inproved.. we also had used pre seed the month i got a bfp...

Post subject: hi, me and my husband been trying now for 7 year i have PCOS he has low count and no mobility had 1 failed ICSI/IVF December gone but going again in 2 weeks for another try you just have to keep your spirits up after all its got to be worth any amount of pain and intrusion at the end if you get the result good luck anyway x

Post subject: IVF is scary to begin with when you see all the needles and medication you have to take but i got used to it after a week of injection it just comes to you. Im 20 weeks pregnant with twins now so it was well worth all the time and effort you have to put in to it. If you have any questions im here to help. xx

Post subject: IVF Hi guys, regarding ivf my dh and i have just been informed that we'll never conceive naturally due to low sperm motility as a result of undescended testicle as a child, quite a blow an not sugar coated!!!! however the good thing is that we are being put in for IVF but also ICSI where they inject sperm into egg.
What i am quite afraid of is the retreival process and reimplantation as to how painful, i've had Hycosy scans an that was very painful so i'm concerned that even mildly sedated i will still feel pain an not be able to lie still. Has anyone experienced this before that could give advice please.......????? Dont mind the injections, nasal sprays an tablets, just the pain of them fiddling with my fuffer and shoving needle through my bits, what the hell...... they say there's mild discomfort...... they lied bout the hycosy it was not mild, thought i was gonna pass out, sweaty and nauseated.... thankfully i took 2 co-codamol prior to appt so it eventually kicked in bout hour after procedure while i was in contraction/spasm city.....

Post subject: Hiya they lied to me about the hycosy aswell they said it would just be like mild period pains and it was nothing like that, you won't move around when you have having egg retrieval it did hurt abit the first time but not the second and i didnt move, it doesnt hurt when you have them put back in.
