Post subject: Milk allergy or normal?
Can anyone advise on whether the following symptoms that Theo is having is normal or possibly a milk allergy? He throws up quite often, and often not immediately after a feed, is this normal? I know all babies bring up bits of milk, but his often smells like proper sick and can be any time of day, not just after feeding. He is also very gassy and farts a lot! Laughing He has been quite spotty on his face and torso, which the dr put down to the heat last week, but today it's much more of a rash, and it's not hot! This morning he wouldn't settle and when on me, he was rubbing his face on my shoulder, as if it was itching. He is bottle fed on cow and gate formula. We have allergies in our family which is why I'm worried. I am going to chat to my family who have allergies, but thought I'd post here too, as I know you are all fountains of knowledge and experience!

Any experience either with allergies, or babies without allergies having these symptoms would be gratefully received.

My son is exactly the same, to the point that we had him at the docs last week about it and he has been referred to hosp. He is CONSTANTLY sick, not always after feeds either. If he moves the wrong way, hiccups, burps or just ies on his belly he brings it all back up. Initially the HV thought it was a weak muscle at the to of his throat but said this should get better as he moved around more. He is now hoever crawling a wee bit and the sickness seems to have got worse. I am at the point of trying a new mikl with him as I am concerned there is an intolerance there. We are atill awaiting our appt to come through but just wosh it would hurry up! OUr son also had a rash but the doc said it was heat too.
I hope you get somewhere with your wee one as I know that is such a stres (plus the washing machine is never off and our rug is nmow totally stained!!)

My son was just the same and passing wind all the time and seemed in pain.

He was on cow and gate so we changed to sma about 3 weeks afo and since then he's improved a lot. I'm so glad we switched formula as he is so much better.
