Strawberry marks

Post subject: Strawberry marks Hi, my 4 week old has developed some marks. She has one large strawberry birth Mark on her side which is fine and clearly a birthmark, however she has also developed four other small red marks, three on her torso and one on the back of her neck. Im not sure if these are also small strawberry marks or something to be worried about.

Post subject: Hey hun - my sil baby had nothing when born but after week or so developed a blood blister type mark on her forehead
This is what she thought it was until saw hv wedks kater n told her it was strawberry mark Id check anything new with a hv but im a worryer  maybe ring them to describe n ask x_________________  Posted: Sat Nov 10, 2012 12:23 pm
Post subject: well the hv was perplexed, she thought they were strawberry marks but was surprised at how many she has. I went to the dr and have been referred to the pediatrician to check them out! Fingers crossed its nothing to worry about.

When issy had a tiny spot that wudnt go away then a doc gave her sum cream (it was on her bum) then it got bit bigger n more started i took her back n two more docs were called in to look at it b4 they decided it was nappy rash but they had never seen it in such a way b4!!! Post subject: Well the consultant wasnt too worried - she has to have a follow up appointment in 6 months to track the growth of her marks.
She may have to have a scan to check if there are any internal strawberry marks but he needed to check with the 'leading' conultant and is calling me to let me know. It's obviously pretty rare to have so many of them!! Thanks for the replies
