Post subject: i just nt sure what to do :( At 3:30am today i was woken up suddenly with massive period type pains in my belly, back, bum. It lasted a good 5 mins really sharp before just going to a uncomfy pain before coming really sharp again a few mins later.....i thought maybe i needed the loo so went and "did both"......this still didnt take it off, so at 4am i took 2 paracetomol but was sick at 4:05am so i dont know how much was absorbed (not much i imagine).......the pain continued and seem to get stronger and had me in tears in the end.
At 6am i finally fell asleep but was again woken at 6:50am with the same pains again and they are still coming every now and then, I just know what to think or do really.......can any of you lovely ladies help me xx _________________

Post subject: Not to scare u or anything but it could be the start of labour for u! Do they feel like contractions ? they must be pretty painful if ur being sick and crying with them i no I would be ringing the ward and telling them what's happend and see I they think u should come in to get monitered and checked. Is baby still moving normally?

Post subject: Could just be an irritable uterus if they're not regular now or getting closer together, its more common when its not your first baby, I'd maybe try a nice warm bath and some paracetamol and if they're still there then ring up and see what they say , if it is early labour it could carry on for a while yet , but once its establised labour the pains get stronger and closer so you can't mistake them for anything else and a warm bath won't make them stop

Post subject: I know I always had a fear of being on my own when labour started , have you not got anyone nearby who you could ring if needed ? If you're worried I'd ring your midwife and see what she says , sometimes if they have somone doing home visits in the area they can arrange for them to pop round and see you
