Probably been done to death but I've just commented on the Christmas brekkie post and so thought I'd do a Christmas Dinner one!
Its like the FA Cup Final of dinners isn't it ha, what do you have? I love turkey so would never dream of anything else so my dinner consists of:
Turkey & cranberry sauce
Roasties
Mash
Carrot & turnip
Cabbage (I have sprouts tho, love them!)
Peas
Stuffing
Gravy
Trifle or Christmas pud and custard for dessert.
I dont bother with a starter as it would ruin how much I enjoyed my meal as I'd be full already.
Does anyone not bother with a proper dinner? My friend and her family are going are going to the Chinese restaurant as they are opening on Christmas Day for buffet lunch haha! I'm too much of a traditionalist to ever do anything like that, I wouldn't like to eat out at all on Christmas Day.

well our last three xmasses have been bbq/picnics on the beach and I have done a smaller version of a xmas dinner on boxing day. Last boxing day was a little joint of lamb with typical kiwi roast veg & potatoes. Was simple but lovely. But we are staying home this year and hubby wants a typical english xmas dinner. So will be the usual turkey, stuffing, roast potatoes, roast & steamed veg, yorkshire puddings etc. Can't say exactly what veg as not sure yet. Dessert will just be christmas cake. Or some nice ice-cream. Boxing day will be left over turkey and some nice summer salads _________________
