For those whose LO have had the snip procedure done, how old were they?

My daughter didnt have it but i know of 2 babies who had theirs done in a matter of weeks after being born. xx

Harry had his done at 1 day old. If they do it before they are 12 weeks old then its just a snip, but if they are older they need to have anaesethic (SP).

ah... right. My HV only picked it up at 10 days (despite Poppy being in hosp for 7 days) so was waiting for the follow up paed appt and was going to ask them then. I will chase it up to get it done soon then. Thank you ladies.

Isla had hers done at 3 weeks as the only person at our hospital that can do it was on holiday when she was born!!! She didn't even notice the snip and slept the whole way through it! There was a drop of blood in her mouth afterwards and they just encourage you to feed them straight after.

Oh... I am amazed (and impressed) that they are done within days and found early.

I called neonatal today and now have a paed appt tomorrow so will asked to be referred asap.
