Post subject: I got clomid!!
Hi ladies! Had appointment with cons today and HSG test all clear but bloods still showing I'm not ovulating so been prescribed 4 months of clomid. Feel excited now has there been many success stories on here and does anyone know the best time of day to take them so not to feel the side effects etc x

Best to take them in the evening I'm told - but I did that and still had really bad hot flushes and mood swings so maybe it varies from person to person?
Good luck with it! xx

I've taken it at night and in the morning. I've experienced hot flush type things but not even in the week I've taken the tablets so don't think theres much getting round it. They were ok though, nothing major! I have been taking 50mg and it has kicked everything off! Very happy. However, I was originally told to take 5 days worth and that has resulted in multiple follicles (risk of babies) so we're still using condoms til we get the dose right. Fingers crossed for a bfp as soon as we're sorted!

Good luck with your clomid!

Ha ha that must be crazy using condoms whilst taking clomid! My box says take two tablets once a day for 5 days and each tablet contains 50g so I take it I'm starting on 100g!! Oh well lets hope it works x

It is really weird! However, no matter how much I want a baby I do not want 4 so I'd rather wait. Even if it means using condoms which are truly horrible!

My doc said you can only have it for a maximum of 6 months though is that the case with you?

See I got started on 50mcg for 3 months then increased to 100mcg. Strange how they have gone straight for the higher dose for you.

Well I asked him is it a low dose or and he said its a medium dose. Only thing I'm confused about the sticker on my packet says take two once a day for 5 days but when I read the leaflet inside it says start with one and increase to two Question

Maybe it's based on individual circumstances.
