Post subject: Any advice?!
Hi,
I'm just wondering if anyone out there has any advice for me! Myself and my husband have been ttc since Nov 07. I have had a long cycle length ranging from 35-38 days since coming off the pill, but i'm now on day 48 with no signs of af! I took a test a few days ago which was negative, another yesterday which had a very faint positive line, and another last night which was negative. Confused
I went to my drs yesterday morning and he suggested having a blood test for polycystic ovaries; the only problem with this is you have to wait for your period to arrive so bloods can be taken on day 1 and 21. I have had period pains for about a week, but they've now gone.
Just wondered if anyone else has experienced anything similar; its driving me slightly mad! [/code]

Thanks ml223,
I told the dr I had a negative, and then (for some reason unknown to myself!) tested again when I got home and got the faint positive; perhaps i'll try testing first thing in a few days time. Have no other sypmtoms apart from eating like a pig!
Thanks for the advice, and good luck to you for your testing.

Hi Nurse - Just thought I would let you know my first test was negative in the afternoon - waited until a couple of mornings later and there it was a v. faint positive, a positive is usually a positive however faint!!! I also had chronic period pain so thought I wasnt pregnant but was testing every month anyway, oh and I was eating for England...

Sounds like good news for you, take care, Flossie xx

Hia. One of the things that my numerous baby magazines has taught me is that you cannot get a false positive no matter how faint as apparently you only produce that specific hormone when you are expecting.

I really hope this is the case.....do let us know!!

Lots n lots of luck xxxx

Hi Nurse, It sounds to me as if your are but you may just have a low hgc at the min so that why is faint. It look me 14 days after my af was due to get a positive result, and my daughter is not 8 years old, fit and healthy.

Thanks so much for all your advice, it really does help to know there are others out there who are going through the same thing as you. I'll test again in a couple of days, and let you know. Good luck to you all; i'll be watching out for your results! Smile

Hey nurse,

It definitely sounds like you could be pg. As many have said, you dont get a false positive, so looks like you poss just had low hgc levels at the time. Make sure you test first thing with nice first morn wee Laughing
Hope you get a lovely strong BFP!
