Hi All,,

I am planning a baby and i have heard that its good to do some YOGA when ur pregnant..

Has anyone tried it and is it correct

Hiya

I did yoga for years before I got pregnant, then a house move meant I left the class - but yes, yoga is great when pregnant (and before) as it really helps with both breathing and flexibility. Do make sure your instructor knows you are pregnant though - and if possible go to a class led by an instructor who 'specialises' in pregnancy yoga, as some of the postures can be dangerous for you.

Also, do be aware of your limits - if you feel any dizziness, nausea or unusual strains or pains - stop immediately and sit down quietly, or get fresh air. Also make sure you stay very well hydrated throughout, same as with any sport/exercise. Keep drinking water.
