Hi there Very Happy
Does anyone have any idea when i should try getting my daughter to move from her two-handled beaker with spout to a cup, and what sort of cup should it be? One with a valve that makes her suck seems to be a backwards step but we are still very much at the "throwing everything on the floor" stage!!!!
P.S. she is 13 months

13 months is quite young to do this. I have experience of this, and if you choose to then thats upto you, but as a nursery nurse i think that she will find this to difficult. This should be done nearer two i think... But there are cups designed for children 18 months + so why not try those...

Thanks for that information Sophie. She loves being able to drink herself and i just didn't know when to move on or want to hold her back from being a big girl!!!

glad sophie got here first but i do agree that 13 months was too young to start using a cup! my ds is 19 months and has started to be interested in my cups now!
