Post subject: Should I stop lying on my back?
Hi, I'm new here. I am in the 23rd week of my first pregnancy and it has become increasingly uncomfotable to sleep in bed. I am trying not to lye on my back as I know that it puts pressure on my blood vessels, but I keep waking up in the night, lying on my back. Is it dangerous for the baby if I do lye on my back? I have ordered a wedge pillow so I am sure that will help. TIA

hiya
its not danerous for the baby as such
although its not recommended for you as baby gets bigger.
your body wont let you sleep in a position thats uncomfortable or in a position which it doesnt liek and thats why its waking you up! how clever is that!
so i wouldnt worry too much. a wedge pillow is fab though
you'll sleep great with it

Thanks for your reply. I had a better, more relaxed night last night, on my side. The wedge pillow a bit on the small side but I'll see how I get on. Very Happy
