Baby has a cold

Post subject: Baby has a cold My 12 week old son is really snotty and coughing, took him to GP today who just said to keep an eye on feeding and temperature. I have put some strong smelling oil in boiling water to humidify the room and keep his nostrils clear and whilst it worked at first he was not great today.
I am breastfeeding but he has an expressed feed at night from a bottle which he projectile vomitted last night when coughing (the whole feed went everywhere) Anyone got any other ideas? Posted: Sat May 10, 2008 3:27 pm
Post subject: Have you tried Saline drops to clear the nose? You can get them over the counter, also is he allowed calpol now?
Bless him, its awful when they have a cold isnt it. To help him sleep, raise the mattress on the moses basket, either by puttin a blanket underneath the mattress, or underneath the basket on the stand! Let me know how u get on x
