Post subject: refused to go back to work to the same job Hi, i am due go back to work after 26 weeks on ML, but my employer refused to confirm that i will go to the same job, given an excuse that a director of my department is off sick. what should i do? Please help

I have just seen your post and this may all be too late but hopefully not! Your employer HAS to allow you to return to your same job after 26 weeks of maternity leave. If you go to directgov.uk it has all the information on your rights while off on maternity leave. You employer HAS to allow you to return to work after any additional maternity leave but at this point, you could be moved to a different role if your old role was made redundant or somthing. Check the website out, it is really good! Take care. Jo
