Post subject: Antenatal classes

I am only 15 weeks pregnant at the moment and have been told I will get a 1 day class through my midwife closer to the time. Was just wondering if anyone did an NCT class too? I have heard they are good, and help form a support group, but they also seem quite expensive. Did you join one or just go with NHS provided stuff? Also, at what point should you register for one if you want to go on one?

Thanks, LD

I only did the NHS one at about 30 weeks I think. I really really enjoyed it and still keep in touch with a couple of the girls I met there. My friend has recently been to the NCT group and from what she said i think that there did seem to be a bit more opportunity for chatting and getting to know people. Ultimately, she paid a lot of money where mine was free but essentially what she learnt was the same as far as i could tell. why not give them a ring and see how you feel after?!
