oh my god i'm going to have a baby, i found out today and i'm so so excited. i had 2 implanon implants covering a total of 4 years, and i had it removed on the 9th of November as me and my boyfriend wanted to start a family. After reading many things on internet forum website about concieving after having the implant removed i had convinced myself it would take me years to get pregnant, after finding out 3 days ago my boyfriend was cheating on me we broke up,and i am devestated, i finally on the off chance and to put my mind to rest i did a test today, well i did 2 and they both said i was pregnant, i am so so excited, i'm not sure how long as when i had the implant i didnt have periods, so i have no reference point.i assume i have to see my doctorat some point i already have an appointment booked for 2 weeks time for something else and i shall bring it up then. i have a job which is quite physical and i'm really worried something is going to happen to my tiny yet growing baby, i dont know how long i should wait to tell my boss incase i miscarry, which i am terrified of at the moment, and im not sure why. also i have the issue of telling the fater, oh deary.

personally i wud talk to ur doctor before 2 weeks and i would speak to your boss straight away and tell them u cant do physical lifting or manual labour as u are pregnant now.they may ask for proof which is why u need to see ur doctor before 2 weeks huny.
i would tell ur ex when u feel ready but as soon as possible so he can make choices of wether he wants to be involved or not.
if he doesnt which he may not you will have to discuss it with him,his family and your own family so u will have soem support.
i fell pregnant as soon as my implant was taken really i had it taken out in sept now im 14 weeks pregnant.
good luck huny

Congrats to you. It's a very exciting time, I remember. You should ring your doctors surgery and explain you are pregnant for the first time so can they notify the midwife. You will then be contacted by her personally to arrange your first appointment which will be when you are approximately 6 or 7 weeks but she will work that out with you. I found that the gp wasn't all that helpful, but then they don't specialise in pregnancy and the midwife does.
Let your midwife know how physical your job is, as although it's fine now, when you get to about 12 weeks you should stop doing any heavy lifting.
Because I suffered with terrible morning sickness I had to tell my employer at about 7 weeks, but the recommended time is about 12 weeks. That is because the chances of miscarriage lessen greatly from that time. Although don't let that worry you, the majority of pregnancies go smoothly.
You have some wonderful times ahead. I'm in the last trimester now and have loved every minute of it (apart from the morning sickness, aching ribs, stretch marks and indegestion)

thank you all so so much for the replies,i went to the doctors last thursday and told the doctors, i had to fill out a form for the midwife and she's going to arange an appointment for me in the next 10 days also a dating scan as i have no idea how far along i am, i think possibly 5 weeks at the most 3 at the least, lol. i told the father last night and he took it really well, he cried, lol, he started reading some books and stuff i got from the doctors and going through things i can/ cant eat and things i need to do, tee hee, its really funny seeing him like that. i live in a one bedroom flat, and he started going on about getting back together and getting a place together, which is all well and good but i dont want him to feel he has to do all that, i'm quite happy to be on my own but im sure the help will come in handy, lol. i'm less worried about misscarriage now, if it happens it happens, it wasn't ment to be, but i hope it wont lol, oh god, i'm so so excited, i really want to start buying things but i know i should wait till 12 weeks, oh.
