Hi, Our baby's 10weeks old and my wife has her in mittens continuously to prevent her from scratching herself and during a recent trip to Grandma's she commented that her hands looked like claws and suggested we stop putting mittens on her. Could wearing mittens continuously deform her little hands? Cheers, Forbesie

Hi ya and welcome to AskBaby!! Mittins come in different sizes. As she grows you will need to get a bigger size to allow her fingers to stretch out. Her fingers shouldnt be bunched up in there.
Babies nails grow sooo fast, but if you clip them a couple of times a week she should be ok without mittins but thats your call anyway. I would recommend proper baby nail clippers which prevent you clipping to close in. Using your teeth can cause the nail to tear down the side and we know how that feels a Shocked Hope that helps a little? Good luck!
