Naming a baby after one of it's parents?

I love my husbands name (Declan) and have always said that I wanted to name my first boy after him. People seem to have strong objections to it though Laughing

What do you reckon?

Think its a lovely idea - we thought about naming our son after his daddy but chose to have it as middle name instead.

You go for it, Flossie xxxxxxxx

iīm named after my mum - who also has a double barreled name - although she only gets called by the first part of it.

have always had my full name at home so we know who is being called LOL

my mums name comes from her mum and her granny.

so i suppose i am named after my great granny, my granny and my mum.

confusing - huh?

wonīt be carrying on the tradition though hehe

if bubba had been a boy ( we think she is a girl) she would have had her grandad and great grandadīs names as middle names
