weaning

Post subject: weaning hi there can anyone help me ive just started giving my 8 week old baby rice 2 days ago as she was feeding every hour ive just read this is dangerous but is it a case of stopping or should i carry on because ive started she is a little more satisfied but i dont want 2 harm her x

Post subject: Well in general most people would say that babies digestive system is too imature before 16 wks. i fed mine at 10 and 12 wks and they were hungry babies took to it well with no probs at all. Gd luck whatever you decide. But you know your baby best. pupx

Post subject: i did it at 12 weeks but it was just a teaspoon or so to start with about seven o clock last feed to help her sleep through the night . but heh they are all differant and you should do whatever you think. if you are not sure give your health visitor a call xxxxxxxx good luck
