Post subject: antibiotis during pregnancy
HI

Just had a scan this morning...everything fine with the baby, but was told I have bacteria in my urine and I have to go on antibiotics to cure it and maybe will have to have antibiotics during labour...I have what is called GBS infection...
did anyone ever hear of this and is it safe for the baby to be taking antibiotics...my gynacologist said that its fine....I just want to get confirmation from other mothers...

i had strep b with my other pregnancys and had antibiotics and every thing was fine i had to have them in labour to it is fine hun xxxx Very Happy

im 26 weeks and have to be tested at 32 to see if i have it again 3rd time lucky most pregnant mums have it without nowing i think everyone should be tested xxxx
