I was on clexane for my first pregnancy from 16 weeks and again this pregnancy from 14 weeks. I am now 32 weeks pregnant and full of bruises - lovely, due to having a Pulmonery Embolism (blood clot in my lung) 8 years ago. The only advice I was given is not to do your injection if you think you may be in labour due to the fact that your blood may be thinner if surgery is required. You will also have to continue your injections for 6 weeks after giving birth as you are still at risk of clots. Don't worry everything will be fine and you will be well monitored throughout your labour. Happy Bruising!
