Post subject: my kids favourite meal so easy and so healthy.
You need: 4oz salmon fillets and cod fillets 1/2 pint of milk 3 peppercorns 1 bay leaf 1oz butter 1 onion (i prefer to use leek) 2tbsp flour 1oz frozen peas 3oz cooked prawns 1oz grated cheddar rice Bring a pan of lightly salted water to the boil add some rice and cook until tender, meanwhile put the cod and salmon in a shallow pan with the milk peppercorns and herbs, bring to the boil then cover and simmer for 5 minutes until the fish is cooked. remove the fish with a slotted spoon strain the milk and reserve, cut the fish into chunks. Warm the butter in a small pan and add the onion (leek) and saute until softened then stir in the flour to make a paste and cook for 1 minute gradully add the strained milk and stir until sauce thickens. Add the fish to the sauce with the frozen peas and prawns and heat through, then remove from the heat and stir in the cheese serve with the rice I never go by the amount they say, i just add the amount i think is right If i make this i a, guarenteed empty plates, i think its yummy too _________________ ![]()
