Post subject: Hi All, A bi of advice please
Hi All,

This is my first post. I am 40 next week, VERY overweight (18 stone). Have 5 children, youngest 5 and my husband and me have decided to try for another. I'm very worried about my weight and age for having a healthy baby. Has anyone any experience of this worry or birth stories on this for me please.

Thank You Emma

Hey there,
Welcome Very Happy (im new too)

WOW 5kids and still wanting more, Your going great!
Super mum....

There are risks having another baby as you age,
the older you become the more complications there are that could arrise.
As for the weight, Ive heard of bigger woman having sucsesful pregnancies.
Best to talk to your doctor about your current position, But if he thinks your
body is physicaly fit enough to carry a baby, then i dont see the harm.
Plus, all you need to do during pregnancy is watch what you eat, and do light
excersize, (so they say) and that will help alot too. You have already sucsessfuly
had children, so just talk to your doctor about the difficulties that may occur,
but they now have tests to make sure your baby doesn't develop any disorders, and
are able to detect them.

Goodluck and i hope everything works out well Smile
