Post subject: change of hours when returning to work
I'm starting my maternity leave in September, but we have a new company taking over. they want us to change our hours, I'm currently doing 9 til 3 Mon to Fri, with school hols off. new company want me to return after my leave and do 7 til 3 same days and same hols. Can they do this or do I have rights.

you are entitled to return to work under conditions no less favourable than they were before your maternity leave. You will need to check your specific contract of employment to work out whether or not they are allowed to increase your hours, and if so, how much notice they have to give you.
