Im 18 weeks pregnant and I dont know if ill cope! everyone is tellin me i wont and that i need to let my dad pay for a private abortion. i honestly dont know what to do me and the dad have broke up and i am unemployed but he is employed and said he will stand by us. I think its awful that people would say this to you! the most important thing is - what do you want???? To be honest I felt like I wouldnt be able to cope - and still do sometimes think I cant cope. its the hardest job in the world being a parent - but its also the best job in the world. its so worthwhile. a bad day can easily be turned into a good day just because your baby smiles at you. the love you feel is just so amazing. you honestly dont know what love is until you experience holding your own baby in your arms and caring for them. Its also great that the dad is standing by you! you may be unemplyed but there is help out there for you - im not too sure of the details of what your entitled too though sorry! there are people out there who have had kids younger than you and cope fine. its not about age its about the person. you wont ever be going through this alone especially if you have the babys dad on board willing to help you. also your hormones will be all over the place just now! I was still thinking at 8 months pregnant - how will I do this/how will i cope? but it will come naturally and yes you will face constant worrys and you will encounter problems but you will overcome it and get the help you need whether thats from a hv, your parents or if your really stuck come on here for advise. oh im 23 by the way not as young as you but I still feel young. I think you should ignore what people in your life are saying as they are not the ones who will have to cope at the end of the day! How old are you? It doesnt matter if anyone else thinks you can cope, only whether you do, It;s bloody hard at times and [*CENSORED*] easy at others! I'm basically trying to say what steph said! good luck, if you fancy a chat or want to ask anything pm me x _________________
