I found where to write my birth plan in my book, only put a few lines in though, cant think of anything else!
I had braxton hicks for ages but the last 3 weeks ive had none! weird
Ive got such bad pelvic pain i cant do much so resting lots, been told im measuring a bit small - 35 weeks at 36.5weeks. Hows everyones bump measuring? i hope this means i dont have a 10lb-er lol
just over 2 weeks till DD for me by monday the whole house will be done and nursery finished so crossing my legs haha xx
I couldn't think of anything to write in my birth plan either so haven't done one. Just told OH we'll see what happens and deal with it at the time - no idea what to expect as this is our first
I've had Braxton Hicks and they seem to be coming more now I'm getting to the end, especially when I go to bed. They are getting harder and I can feel them more whereas a month or so ago I couldn't feel them that bad - does this sound normal?
Have been getting really bad heartburn and acid in my throat the past week as well, I should get shares in Gaviscon the amount I've gone through!
As dfor measuring small, my midwife made me panic a bit about that. Because I'm tall my bump looks quite small and is all at the front. She kept saying I looked very small then sent me for a scan just to check. At the scan they said everything was completely fine and they said it was probably due to my height and simply that the baby has a bit more room so my bump isn't out as much. I was so relieved. A friend of mine was told the opposite and that she was very big and should expect a big baby - she was so scared then ended up have a 7lb girl - they can never be 100% accurate so I'm sure everything will be fine.
Just over 2 weeks for me as well, getting very nervous now, can't wait to meet them but at the same time I keep thinking OMG will it be today
Hope you get all your decorating finished in time xxx

I was quite casual about my birthplan for my first but really glad i had it as i was really drowsy on 3 lots of pethadine and long labour, so they read it to see i didnt want forceps (so they chose vontuse) and for my partner to cut the cord which we would have both forgotten! i think just incase its better to have one then they dont make the choices for you. This time as we dont know what were having I've also put that we want to see for ourselves what the sex is instead of being told, i think thats more special...some people arent fussed about the small things tho!
yes its normal for the braxton hicks to get stronger, then when they eventually really hurt thats the real thing!
my heart burn is terrible too esp when u wake up in the night and scrabble around for the gaviscon lol. Its so thick to swallow i hate it!
im still measuring a week behind, rather be meassuring small than big tho lol
DD next week cant believe it, still sorting house too lol, our deadline is now sat as were getting carpets fitted! gotta keep those legs crossed, wont even chance a hot curry or a bit of nooky hehe
anyone had any twinges yet???! xx

Another false alarm on Wednesday night/early Thursday Morning. We didn't leave the hospital til 1:15am! I was so sure it was labour though, I was having contractions every 30 minutes, but as soon as we got to the hospital they stopped! It was annoying cos I was so ready to meet Savannah. Sigh.
Now I am just waiting, and waiting. they did an internal but I'm not dilated at allm but the pressure since then has increased like threefold. I could barely walk around the the shopping centre yesterday.
Today I'm sitting or lying on the couch, I didn't get up until 10:45am after getting to bed at like 12am. But I'm over being pregnant now.

Well I finished work yesterday....thank god, was shattered when I had finished and was starting to find it hard being on my feet for 5 hours at a time!
Got most stuff sorted but still decorating
Really hope I don't go over this time was ten days over with Archie and it was hell in the end! Not had any braxton hicks or anything! Just getting some pressure down below so hoping that is a good sign at least. Mw said she is head down and ready, just want her here now.
Archie has been on anti-biotics all week and is still not great....think its all down to teething, he is still off his food which is a bit of a pain, and his sleeping is a bit erratic was up at 5am this morning for about 45 mins but was happy just babbling in his cot, then he went back off.
Good luck everyone......can't wait to read all your birth stories!! x x

how annoying to think baby is coming then be sent home dont worry she'll be here soon, love the name btw
Im so over being pregnant now aswell, theres only so much discomfort i can take!
is this your first? x
Yes I know it was really annoying. I think she's on her way now though. I've been having contractions all morning and they are starting to get stronger and closer together now. I haven't had a show yet though. And yes, this is my first.
I couldn't stand in this mornings service at church at all because the pressure down below was almost unbareable. If I'm sitting/lying down I don't feel pressure, just uncomfortable now.

I've had enough now, even though just over 4 weeks to go. Funny but 7 years ago it was my daughters due date, she didn't make it til 8/3 though (and it was a leap year). I am lucky really haven't really had anything horrible apart from really sore ribs. Baby is head down though. I think I am due a long skinny baby again. Got another scan and consultant appointment booked for wednesday. I'm finding bending over really difficult and have slowed down quite considerably. I have been really turning in on myself as well. Quiet, don't really want to socialise, just want to get on and get things sorted. I moved a heavy wardrobe all on my own today and yesterday I prepared the craft activities for the next term for toddler group!
Baby seems to be moving less now, but I think its just because there is no more room. I've listened in with my doppler and heart rate is fine. My OH has put me on a sex ban as he doesnt want baby coming early!

Angel - I know think I was a bit stupid this time working till 39 weeks! But generally I find pregnancy not too bad so thought why not get paid for longer. I am not entitled to any SMP or mat allowance as I didn't work for a while when I had Archie and then changed jobs when I did go back. We are due within a day of each other!! How are you feeling about having a newborn and toddler?
Had a really busy week this week been out for two meals with friends as probably wont be out socially for a while, worked 2 days, had Archie not being well and then yesterday I felt really off had an off tummy so hoping things are starting in the next few days......I can dream lol!
Booked in to see midwife 2 days after due date and when talking to her at last appointment I mentioned I was induced last time and asked how likely it would be that I would need to be again, she said hopefully your body will know what to do this time. I also said I had 3 sweeps and not so much as a twinge to which she replied 'O I don't think they work' it was her who did one of them, the 1st one! So not having any of them this time they just hurt and didn't do anything.

Hey Lovely Ladies,
Hope everyone is well, cant believe how fast the time has gone.
Jennifer thing your saint for lasting up until 39 weeks to stop work amazing.
Ive been having a lot of braxton hicks the past 5 days. The week before had what I can only say felt like really bad period pain that was coming in waves had it all evening and all night hardly got any sleep then by the morning they stopped as fast as they had started, havent felt them since so not sure what that was about. But those were practice contractions kinda scared for the really thing as they hurt, and im very aware that was probably nothing like the really thing.
Had to have a scan last week as the doctor said my bump was measuring big for how far I am and he thought that meant that I was going to have a big baby, but turns out from the scan that she's not going to be big they estimated 7lbs so im happy i was getting scared I was going to have push out a 10lbs baby.
Is anyone hoping to have a water birth, thats what im hoping for, want to have the baby in a birth center.
Im finding that i have become very antisocial dont want to go out or hardly speak to anyone only to selective people.
Im looking forward to hearing everyones birth stories. My husband reckons that it will all start off this weekend so will have to see.
For those of you who have already have children was wondering in your hospital bag did you need to take a towel with you, i know its probably a stupid question but wasnt sure?

OMG Mutnefer, I had the same thing. The midwife measured my bump and told me she thought she was measuring big and to get a scan. I was actually excited cos it meant I got to see her again! But she isn't big either. I think it's all legs. She's in the 95th percentile for her leg length!! They said if she keeps growing at this rate she'll be 8 pounds 6, which is fine with me. I was with you on the hoping I didn't have to push a 10 pounder out!
Today the kicks have gotten really painful. Before they were just nudges but today they've been hurting me like anything! Didn't get much sleep again last night but hopefully these sleeping pills I picked up will help with that.
Still dunno what they gave me at the hospital but they worked like a charm. Had the best nights sleep on Sunday night after the hospital visit. They were little pink round tablets but have no idea what they were called.
Still no sign of labour though, had a few BH overnight but nothing too exciting. I'd be happy to make it to Saturday, when she'll be 37 weeks. Anytime though I am ready to meet her!
It was nice catching up with one of my friends yesterday and having a laugh. After Sunday night with pain and just all the feelings of being over being pregnant and having no sleep it was nice to have some laughter and a good time. Catching up with my sister in law tomorrow afternoon too. And my nephew as well. He's 4 months old now and so cute! Hope Savannah is as cute.
Hope all is going well with you all, it's the 1st today so we're having our babies this month!! What a scary thought!!

Mutnefer - I have packed two towels one for hair smallish one and a bath sheet, both navy blue used them last time. Don't think they even offered me a towel when I went for a shower. However when we ended up in the childrens hospital a day after getting discharged from mat hospital I had nothing with me and they gave me towels there to get a shower/bath and omg they were tiny smaller than a hair towel
Feeling bit rubbish today, Archie was up at 5.30am as he was wet and wouldn't go back off! I am used to 8am lie in when he is well.
Not realy had any twinges, preparing for going over and being induced again
Gonna get bouncing on my birth ball and out walking tommorrow round the shops with my mum.
I am hoping for a water birth, couldn't have one last time as I was 10 days over and induced but my sil had one and said it was fab.
Still not got a name realy struggling to find a girls name that we like and goes well with Archie.
Hope it all kicks off soon, would love to go now just before my due date, also my mum has got next week off work but can't have any time off the week after and she woill probably have Archie stay a couople of nights and help keep him in his routine!
