i wouldnt be my son sucked his thumb till he was 5 eventually he grew out of it, i did notice he only did it when he was bored or tired but he just stopped himself he has no effects from it either, do ou give you child a dummie, i never, and try giving him/her somthing in hands to keep them occupied, what age is your child, it could be down to teething as well thats what started my son off xx
