Post subject: BBT Thermometer Hello ladies,
So the novelty of POAS twice a day on the opks has worn off  does anyone recommend taking temps? I might start to do this, looking on ebay they are about £4 which isnt bad as a one off fee!?

Post subject: I do both and temps are good for showing when you've ov'd but if your sleeps interrupted or you have a drink or get too hot or cold they can be unreliable and sometimes mine doesn't rise until 2 days after I've felt ov pains , between both together it gives me a pretty good idea of when I ov'd but on it's own not sure how much help it is for ttc

Post subject: It's hard to say without the first half of the cycle , but they can fluctuate after ov'ing and sometimes you get a second peak about 7 days after your ov peak as well , I struggle seeing a pattern when they're not on a chart

Post subject: i know what you mean, ive just signed up to fertility friend, and gonna order a thermometer, so im going to start charting next month (hopefully not!) just wanted to ask do you have to do it at exacly the same time every day or can you give or take a few hours, i get up in the week at 6 but weekends 7.30 - 8

Post subject: Your supposed to do it at the same time but you can just take off .1 of a degree for every 1/2 hr you delay it by , that's if your taking them in fahrenheit , not sure what it is in celsius/centigrade

Post subject: Ladies I think I am due to ovulate anyday now last month was cd15 and month before cd17 so my temp went up this monring from 35.49 to 36.17 should this stay high now? is this showing that I am more fertile??? I havent had a plus on a stick as yet?!?

Post subject: i started temping this month, my temps are all over the place, now ive come down with a stinking cold, so you can bet that this will send them completely mental !!!!, will keep going to see if i have some sort of pattern, charting my cm and cp too with fertility friend. FX to you hun xxxxx

Post subject: The only thing I found ( I started after my last af abour cd18 or something it definately took a big drop the day AF was due but as I wasnt sure if I was doing it right etc I think I didnt pick up on it but it def dropped a lot that morning, should have realised AF was due but didint till I looked back at my chart!!
