high temperature in week 4

Post subject: high temperature in week 4 Does anyone know about the health dangers of high temperature in early pregnancy. Yesterday my temperature was between 38 and 39 all day. (Flu) In the end after being told that a high temperature was potentially dangerous for baby, i had some chidren's panadol and it is okay now. I would really like to know what are the risks, and can thhey be checked in pregnancy through blood test or scan or something. I am living abroad so I don't know whether to follow doctors advise 100% or not - want some confirmation from back home! thanks in advance

Post subject: hi, im am 10 weeks pregnant and when i was about 6 weeks, i also got the flu with very high temp and was really bad with it, due to the fact i didnt know i was pregnant at the time, i took a lot of medicine. i have since seen the baby on a scan and all seems fine. hopfully this will be the same for you, but i suggest you see your midwife for a piece of mind. x
