Hi there.... I don't know if this is of interest.... but having been told on Monday that I was in the 'high risk' downs category (1 in 114) due to my hormone levels more than anything and my age (3 , my husband and I decided we wanted to go ahead with the CVS procedure. For all those contemplating it, I have been remarkably surprised how easy it has been. They say the first 24-48 hours are the most 'critical' in terms of potentially miscarrying (1 in 100), however, I am over 24 hours in and have had no pain at all and no bleeding at all. The procedure was close to painless too.... I think it helped that I had a very experienced individual at St George's Hospital do it too! So far can't fault them there....
Now it's just a long 3-5 day wait for the results!!
Anyway... for what it's worth I am feeling positive and pain free and for all those who may be fretting/apprehensive the build up is by far the worst part.....
