Post subject: Period type pain - but positive pregancy test???
Hi All

I am new to the site and wondered if anyone has any advice for me?
I have just taken 2 x Early Response pregnancy tests and both have given me a faint positive. However I have a dull ache in my lower tummy along with lower back pain - similar to what I get before I come on. Any thoughts - I am losing the baby? Am I actually pregnant? Am I going mad?!
It's wierd becuase I already have a child but I didn't find out I was pregant until I was 12 weeks gone the first time round. I had no early pregancy concerns cos I didn't know I was pregnant! This is all very much like my first time in a way - except I have experienced the end result already! xx

Your experience was very much like mine. If you have had two faint positives I would say you are pregnant, since I found out I have had similar pains and still do and im 8weeks gone now. If the pains are severe and you do start bleeding you need to go to the doctors.

If you are not 100% convinced re-test in a couple days (make sure its a morning wee). If you scan through the forums on here you will find so many have been through the same thing as you. This pregnancy has a whole different feel than my first so I can understand your confusion.

Good luck I hope you get the result you want. Smile

Thanks for that - I appreciated you taking the time to reply Very Happy

The pain isn't severe - just persistent and dull. No bleeding either....
I am going to re test after the weekend I think. Being newly pregnant (if I am?) is a really strange feeling! x

It is, I went to see the midwife and she says its quite common for women to worry more about their second pregnancy than with the first. Embarassed

Good luck im sure you are but please tell us how you get on. Smile

im in the same boat. 6 days late - day 2 faint positive when held to light, slight brown spotting, day 4 - still faint but an improved postive but very thin line - no spotting, day 6 (today) faint positive but line is as thick as it should be - having period pain and slowly bleeding like a period. I think its called a chemical pregnancy but you guys give me hope.

Is this not implantation pain?
Or perhaps cysts on your ovary nothing to really worry about but worth gettin it checked with the docs

no, not that for me. Today I came on my period full force and a pregnancy test was negative. Definately a chemical pregnancy.

Sorry to hear that Mojo x Must be awfult to get excited with a faint positive and then have all your hopes dashed x Don't know whether it would be better to just get bfn's then you wouldn't have such a rollercoaster of emotions!

Sending you baby dust for a setember bfp!

Post subject: Me too!
Hi all, new on here. Found out I was pregnant last week. Have been trying for a year and did one of the early tests and it showed a faint line. follwing day bought a couple of different test including one which says to do on the first day of a missed p and they all showed positive. I have had some mild stomach cramps but no bleeding. Dont want to get too exited as its early days.

gq123, these pains sound perfectly normal. I had them up until around 20 weeks.

Congratulations AmandaJane on your pregnancy - hope it goes well.

Sorry to hear that Mojo. It is still upsetting I know. Good luck for next month.

I have done another 2 tests and both show as postive - the result is a bit more defined now too. I've still got the pains though - each time I go to the loo I'm preparing myself for the worst
I can't concentrate and I'm not sleeping very well either - I feel like I'm going a bit mad
