Post subject: What a very interesting story. You are so determined and patient and I'm so glad youve managed to jump so many hurdles already.
Good things come to those who wait and I wish you the very best of luck with the the next stage (and every stage after that of course Keep us updated hun! x _________________ ![]() Posted: Sun Feb 20, 2011 5:16 pm
Post subject: Hello! I really enjoyed reading this post! I hope it's ok to share it with a co-worker who is going through the adoption process right now. She doesn't know anyone who has gone through it and I actually thought of you!
My husband and I have timelined Christmas this year to begin the adoption process if IVF doesn't work for us. We're trying IVF 3 times over the next few months. I know we have to wait about 6 months after any such attempt, but we have a plan of sorts. Best of luck to you and your husband, I hope time passes quickly for you. Just think, your baby could be cooking right this minute! Laura Posted: Sun Feb 20, 2011 7:40 pm

The 'good things come to those who wait' quote, is exactly what one of the team leaders said to me when they had to cancel our prep days. I think being able to be patient in this game is very important. There's little you can do to speed things along and luckily I am quite laid back!! _________________

Post subject: Hi Laura! I dont mind you sharing at all! Its a daunting process, so any info for others thinking of adoption is a good thing! Good luck with your IVF hon.
Corrie - think we are looking at April/May. Can never be sure though! _________________

Post subject: What a lovely post, thanks so much for writing this. I have recently been diagnosed with endometriosis and a very low AMH/fairly high FSH count and have been advised that IVF will mostly likely not work and will be looking into adoption later on this year, once we have got our heads round this latest diagnosis!
I really hope your adoption journey continues smoothly, I will keep an eye on this post to see how you’re doing, do let us know how your prep days go. xx Posted: Tue Feb 22, 2011 8:09 pm
Post subject: Thanks Faith
Now, I rang childrens services today to ask why my confirmation had come through for the CRB check and hubby's hadn't. The lady I spoke to said that it is not at all unusual for them to come back at different times. I'm not worried about the result as we both had to be thoroughly CRB checked for our current jobs but I am worried that his will drag on as apparently they can take anything from 4 weeks to 4 months to come through! She said she would make enquiries and call me back. Well, miracle of miracles, she actually did call back!! She also said that we are definately penned in for April's prep days!!!! Yay!! Just gotta keep our fingers crossed for getting OH's CRB check back in time now! _________________
