Post subject: Hi there, i was in the same position as you when i fell pregnant with my daughter.
I not only had my own beasties but also ran a busy dressage yard!! I had a trouble free pregnancy, and i guess i was somewhat naive and i rode up to 7 1/2 months, i even did my first dressage test on my youngster at 7months!! Not the most attractive thing to watch im sure. Think my daughter was born with a whip in one hand and a shovel in the other!! However with my son, i had a more trouble some time and only managed to ride for a few months. I think so long as you are careful and dont go mad, all exercise is good. And what keeps you happy and sane makes for a happy pregnancy and an easier birth. Take care Jenni Posted: Sat Feb 16, 2008 2:16 pm
Post subject: thank you I guess I want to talk to people like you who know what it is like! The doctor was useless and just said dont go near horses as you might fall / get kicked!! I still have to look after them every day anyway so that seemed a bit daft! have only been doing a bit of gentle hacking but dont seem to have any after effects - did the 1st time at about 8 weeks but since then all ok. mucking out is just the same as well. its the only exercise I get!! did you manage to find any 'fat' jodhpurs? mine are tight already - ok now whilst Ican keep the coat on but spring is on its way.......if you get my drift!

Post subject: I rode my horse until i was 8 months pregnant.
I only stopped as my bump was so big and i couldnt get off properly. My midwife said it was fine for me to ride as long as i was careful. My little boy was born on his due date and was perfectly fine. Just hope he likes horses as much as me! Good luck with everything, u will know when you have to stop.
