Hi ladies, for those that have been ttc in their late 30s early 40s, and have no medical conditions, how long until you got your BFP? I need some positive news, feeling totally fed up after 15 months of trying. Feel like giving up and wondering if my eggs are just past it. Surely I must have a few good ones left, my son was only born 2 1/2 years ago?!!

Hi nutty1, yes been back to my fertility specialist, done all the tests and everything is fine. The only 'issue' is my age, which in turn means my egg quality and quantity. It just seems to be taking so long this time. I know things nosedive after 35 but as I said, I only had my son 2 1/2 years ago !!

Hi in response to the lady who said she had a son 21/2 years ago. You're about the only person who's given me any hope. I'm 41 and feel like giving up, can you conceive then if everything is physically ok? Help so desperate! I'm francesfox by the way!

Hi francesfox, I couldn't read your post and run without replying, mainly because you said I was about the only person to give you any hope. What is your history, have you had any pregnancies at all? I'm going to make you feel mega positive now, I'm sitting here typing and i'm currently 6 months pregnant. It happened after all, but it took a long while. If you have had all the checks done and they can't find anything actually wrong i.e. blocked tubes and so on then there is no reason why it can't happen for you, but as you get older it does take longer. I know it's hard, you have to dig deep and find inner strength to keep going. I am proof you can get there. Very Happy Very Happy

Hi jojo!!! You know at your age it is not easy to get pregnant. The quality of the eggs becomes lower. But everything is possible. I know a lot of ladies who got pregnant in their late 30th themselves. But even if you will not be able to get pregnant yourself it`s not the end!!! You may try IVF. This procedure allows women who are even 60 years old))) Don`t give up!!! There is always a way out)))

Hi MaryBr, yes I know at my age it's not easy to get pregnant. Not sure if you read my earlier post but I actually did get pregnant. I'm about to give birth in 2-4 weeks time. I was trying to give the other lady a bit of hope Smile
