Hello,
I am new to this site but wondered if anyone could offer me advice on where to look for financial advice and assistance for single parents?
I recently found out I am 2 months pregnant with twins and unfortunately have broken up with the father who does not want to be involved. I have come to terms with dealing with the situation alone and at 24 I will want to go back to working full time once I can but in the mean time would appreciate any advice on the financial side of things. I work at the moment and will as long as I can until they arrive, then I will qualify for maternity leave and SMP but not sure what happens after that?
Thank you

Congratulations on your pregnancy.
Its so easy for men to walk away huh?
When you arrange your maternity leave with your employer you'll arrange a date for you to return to work. When that date arrives you have to go back.
When the twins are born you will be able to claim for child benefit, and working and child tax credits.
Hope your pregnancy goes well
